ABOUT

There is no conceptual explanation to my work, I simply enjoy making ‘stuff’.
Process aside, an interest in line and geometry is a constant. A degree in Art gave me a decent grounding in printmaking which I explore at my leisure. From intaglio and relief, the flat graphic nature of screen printing continues to appeal and forms the basis for my prints.

Derived from paper folding and layering coloured acetates I explore the interaction of line, shape and colour and how each relates to one another in a space, a conversation if you like. A shift in registration and subsequent intersection creates three dimension and produces variants of shade and colour. The colour emerges differently with each layer and it’s this explorative process that excites me.
